Master Plan’s Revival Could Be a Spark for the Broader Community, in More Ways Than One

Alterra guttersThe economic story of Las Vegas is evident at the south end of the valley. For a few years, construction at Inspirada slowed along with the rest of the Las Vegas area, as the economic downturn hit the construction industry especially hard.

But, just like much of Southern Nevada, Inspirada is back. The master-planned community has reinvented itself, with several new model complexes and brand new parks. This comeback could spark an even wider resurgence, for the economy and the community at large.

An upcoming ceremony highlighting new developments and features of Inspirada will also include previews of some entries in HomeAid of Southern Nevada’s Project Playhouse Pet Edition. Cooper Roofing & Solar is an active supporter of HomeAid Southern Nevada, which is building new lives for Southern Nevada’s homeless men, women and children through housing and community outreach.

We have helped put together entries in past editions of Project Playhouse and this year is no exception. Stay tuned for more on this later.

Cooper Roofing & Solar is involved in several projects in Inspirada, installing roofs on housing tracts for KB Home, Pardee Homes and Toll Brothers. We install gutters on homes at Inspirada as well, including on the two-story model pictured below.

The story of Inspirada tracks the story of the Las Vegas valley and its ups and downs over the last several years. This time around the community may lead the way.

Inspirada could be the spark that reignites local building activity.

Some experts predict that the impact of Inspirada’s renewal could have long and lasting effects.

But the revival of Inspirada, which broke ground in 2006 but faltered in the Great Recession, could be a shot in the arm to those lagging figures, industry experts said.

The community could increase permit activity in Southern Nevada by 10 percent to 20 percent in the next six to 18 months, said Dennis Smith, president and CEO of Home Builders Research.

There are early signs among three of the community’s four developers that sales could surge as well.

The comeback of Inspirada is a story of the comeback of Las Vegas and its revival is generating positive results far beyond the walls of the community.
