You’re definitely looking for a roofing contractor you can trust to reroof your home or commercial building. Wouldn’t you like to know who the construction professionals, the companies that work alongside roofing contractors every day, choose for their buildings?
When Hirschi Masonry looked to reroof their office building in Las Vegas, they called on Cooper Roofing & Solar. Hirschi moved into their building about five years ago but this structure had been built many years before that.
The old built-up roofing system, finished with white cap sheet, had seen its best days. The roofing material had begun to buckle badly and band aids were no longer able to cover the issues. The time had come for a roof on their office that matched their status as the premier masonry contractor in the Las Vegas area.
They selected a single-ply roofing system by Duro-Last, installed by Cooper Roofing & Solar, of course. We have extensive experience with Duro-Last in new construction and reroofing applications, on both residential and commercial buildings.
The installation of a layer of insulation as a barrier between the old and new roofing systems allowed us to install the new Duro-Last roof directly over the existing roof, without having to completely remove it. Since Hirschi’s office, shop and yard had to remain fully operational during the project, this meant completing the reroofing project without disrupting the comfort controls of the building, such as the cooling units.
That also made the Duro-Last single-ply membrane a much more attractive solution. Reroofing with another built-up roof would have meant the sights and, worst of all, smells that are associated with using hot asphalt – not a pleasant situation for those working in the building. Installing Duro-Last avoids those drawbacks for our customers.
So when you’re looking for someone you can trust for your new roof, look to the roofing contractor those in the construction industry look to – Cooper Roofing & Solar.
